Coach Sandy Golliheair- Your Director - Experience in over 40 years in softball and other sports. 7 years as Director of Waco Lightning, 8 years coaching Club Volleyball. I've had several winning seasons, including winning Regionals with the 12s in 2021 and assisting in winning 5th in Regionals for 12s in 2022, as well as helping win the 12's bracket division at Nationals with that same team.

Coach Catie Mayo- Our Strength and Conditioning Coach/Libero Coach and General

Catie played several years of Club volleyball, High School and College. She currently works for Baylor as their strength and conditioning coach for Volleyball and Equestrian. Catie can train all aspect of the game and works with ages 7-14.

Coach Craig Cox- Has several years of coaching both High School Volleyball and Club Volleyball with Waco Lightning. Coach Cox is most capable of teaching all aspects of the game and is a great hitting coach. Coach Cox primarily works with our Junior High and High School Players.

 Coach D'Aun Cox - Craig Cox's right hand, Coach Cox's has many years' experience coaching Junior High Volleyball up in the Dallas area. She can teach all aspects of the game and is our Setter Coach. Coach D'Aun coaches all ages.

Now Hiring Coaches for the 2025/2026 Season

Waco Lightning Volleyball is looking for coaches that have a passion for volleyball and enjoy working with kids. The type of coach we are looking for is positive, encouraging, and instructional. 

 Pay will be based on experience.

Volleyball Coaches Duties

• Run or assist with practices.
• Coach at tournaments.
• Referee Training/ Safe Sport Training

Coaching Requirements

• Meet all USAV requirements for Coaches
• Volleyball Experience - Club Player, College Player or School Coach
• Must be able to pass a background check as you will be working with children.
